Today my Jolla was happily working and after leaving it alone I found it dead on the kitchen table. Nothing moved.
I took out the battery (as usual if it acted up), cleaned and moved the contacts, put the battery back, press the on-switch.
"Brrrr" did the vibrator, the Jolla sign appeared, then went black, then the led went white, so that looked good, but then it just went black again. Re-pressing the button doesn't work, I have to remove the battery, place it back, and then I can try to start the phone again.
If I put the charger cable in (I tried another charger and cable, same effect) the charging symbol appeared on the screen, then went off and the white led went on.
First for a while only, but after a few rinse & repeats (battery out, back in, charger back in) the led kept on. And lo and behold, it even after some more time started blinking in the characteristic way as to indicate a full battery. Funny thing however, and maybe a sign?, is that the phone didn't become warm at all during charging, contradictory to my previous experiences.
Anyway, when I switch the phone on it keeps showing the same behavior: upstart sequence 'Jolla text on screen' -> black screen -> glowing white led -> dead. What do you think happened? Is it the battery, or is it the phone? I forgot to mention that I already have replaced the original battery with a "Replacement For HTC BOPA2100/DESIRE 310" of 3.8 VDC, 2100 mAh, 7.98Wh (Powery). By the way, I think it's time to buy a new one, because it's already quite old (although still working to my satisfaction): Mfg. date 2014, Model: JP-1301.
Are the Intex Aqua Fish offers on ebay meaningful? I see a lot of negative feedback at the sellers.
